Sherlock+ talking head ad: Stranger at the door
Door-camera footage of a man pounding on Hannah's door hands off to a woman at home with one rule: search every internet match on Sherlock+ first.
01
Brief
Sherlock+ calls itself a People Intelligence Platform on its end card. In this 45-second Meta ad, the presenter says she searches a name on Sherlock+ “to look for hidden profiles and available public records, which may include criminal records or restraining orders.”
The ad speaks to people who meet dates online, and it names the risk in her words: “He probably looked completely normal online.” It has to make one search before a first meeting feel like common sense and end on its tagline, “Don't date a creep.”

Format and style
I build this ad from two scenes. The first 15 seconds play as circular fisheye door-camera footage of a front porch, where a man in a tan jacket over a black shirt bangs on the door and braces a hand against the wall, under a top label that reads DON'T DATE CREEPS with CREEPS in red. His shouted lines run in red italic captions and the woman inside answers in white, with “cops” picked out in blue.
Then the ad cuts to a woman in her thirties with long brown waves and a cream knit sweater, who talks to a selfie camera in a warm living room with trailing plants and framed prints on the shelves behind her. The porch footage carries the fear, and the calm room carries the fix. AI app install ads for a safety product need both halves: a threat the viewer believes and a person with a habit that protects her from it.

How it was made
I open on the door-camera view as he walks up the path and starts yelling “Open the door, Hannah!” Her voice answers from inside, demanding to know why he is there, then “Leave or I am calling the cops!” He keeps pounding and leans in toward the lens, and I cut to the presenter on “And the scary part is...” as she finishes the thought: “He probably looked completely normal online.”
She states her rule, “I never meet someone from the internet without checking them first,” and a purple Sherlock+ badge with a fingerprint icon pops up below her as she names the app and again on the public records line. Bold white captions with one teal word track each phrase. She closes on “It only takes one search to uncover something they never told you. Don't date a creep,” and the purple end card fades in over her with the fingerprint logo, SHERLOCK+, People Intelligence Platform and sherlock.plus.
