Brief

Choicey is a free service that compares health funds. In this Meta ad, the respondent explains that you answer a few quick questions, it “takes like 60 seconds,” and it compares over 10 health funds for you.

The ad talks to people who have kept the same health cover for years without checking the price. Its closing line names them: anyone “paying more than 200 a month” who hasn't “compared lately.” The ad has to make that viewer question a premium they assume is normal and tap the link.

Format and style

A two-person street interview on a sunlit pedestrian mall, with café umbrellas, shopfronts and passing shoppers behind them. A woman in a linen shirt and jeans holds a handheld mic, and the man she stops stands in a short-sleeve shirt with a takeaway coffee in both hands.

Health cover is a topic people tune out, so the script lets a peer say the expensive part himself: “320 a month for three years now,” plus extras he “wasn't using.” The bright, casual setting makes those numbers sound like a confession between strangers. That is the work AI insurance video ads have to do here: make a policy review feel like a tip a mate passes on over coffee.

How it was made

I open on the interviewer's question, “So how much do you pay for your health insurance?”, and let him talk cost before any brand appears. He stacks it up: “family cover,” “320 a month for three years now,” then dental, physio and chiropractic he “wasn't using.” The interviewer steps in twice, with “So what actually changed?” and “And you don't lose your waiting periods when you switch?”, and his reply, “They carry over,” becomes the turn.

I cut every few seconds between her with his shoulder at the frame edge and him with her arm and mic reaching in, and he credits Choicey to a mate before listing the better hospital cover and the extras he kept. For the last stretch the interviewer turns to camera and points to the link with “60 seconds, it's completely free.”
