Brief

Leevli is a real estate listing and rentals platform, and this 79-second Meta ad says the name out loud in its first line: “Hey Miami, we're out here filming Ask a Resident for Leevli.” The host sets it up as a series with a fixed rule: “We ask real people one question.”

The question, “What's one thing you wish you knew before moving in?”, speaks to people living in or moving to Miami apartment buildings, and the residents the host stops outside those buildings stand in for them. The ad has to carry a viewer through five answers and close on an ask to comment and follow.

Format and style

A handheld street interview in front of glass-fronted Miami residential towers, with one stop at a Wynwood mural beside an NW 26 St sign. The host, in a grey sweatshirt, talks to camera with a black mic for the intro and outro and stands in a two-shot with each resident in between.

Over the white word-by-word captions I add orange label cards that name each beat: “WYNWOOD SURPRISE,” “IGUANA ALERT,” “3AM REGGAETON CONCERT,” and a closing “FOLLOW FOR MORE REAL TALK.” The labels break a long cut into chapters, and chapters are how AI real estate video ads at this length keep a viewer moving from one resident to the next.

How it was made

I open with the host to camera, naming the city and the series, then the question. The host calls each round by name: a regret (“That sunny day flooding is real... First month I watched my Uber float away in the parking garage”), a positive surprise (rooftop yoga, a group chat that plans things, “Moved in solo, now I have a whole crew”), something funny (iguanas that treat her balcony as “their personal Airbnb”), a wild story (roaches on the counter, “they weren't guests, they were landlords”) and a neighbor edition about a part-time DJ upstairs.

The cast is five residents, two men and three women, each framed full length beside the host outside a building entrance or on the street. I keep the host laughing on camera with them, which makes the bits play as conversation. The last shot is the host to camera: “Which one surprised you the most, Miami? Drop your own crazy moving story in the comments. We might film it next episode.”
