YourDebtPath street interview ad: Scrolling past the quiz
A woman on a suburban sidewalk admits she scrolled past the YourDebtPath quiz for two months before she took it.
01
Brief
YourDebtPath offers a debt quiz the ad describes as 60 seconds and 10 questions: what you owe, what type, how long. It shows what programs exist for your situation, someone reaches out to walk you through it, and the ad says it is free to take with “nothing owed unless a program actually comes through for you.”
The ad aims at the viewer who has seen it before and kept scrolling, and it says so: “If you've been seeing this and not clicking, just take it.” It has to name that delay and win the click on this viewing.
02
Format and style
A single respondent on a quiet residential sidewalk, with lawns, bare trees, clapboard houses and a grey sky behind her. She wears a burgundy wrap blouse with sunglasses pushed up in her hair, and an off-screen interviewer holds the mic in from the left.
Her story is about the fear of a sales call, so the calm street and her open hand gestures keep the tone warm and low stakes. AI debt relief video ads that speak to hesitation need someone who looks like she lives on the block, and the casting here does that.
03
How it was made
I open on the delay itself: “I put it off for two months, kept seeing the quiz, kept scrolling past it.” Her answer follows the order of the doubt: her sister's call with “no weirdness,” her two fears, the flat “Neither happened,” then the quiz details and a call that “wasn't a sales call.”
Most of the 51 seconds plays on one medium close-up, with a handful of cuts to tighten the pace. She delivers the CTA herself, “Your debt path quiz, 60 seconds,” and closes on “The thing you're scared of finding out is already true.”
